Woman attacked by dog in Redditch

A WOMAN was bitten by a dog in Redditch last Friday.

Around 8.50am, the victim was running along the footpath between Walkwood Road and Avonbank Close when she passed a man with a Jack Russell-type dog on a lead.

The dog bit the woman on the leg, causing serious injuries.

The man is white, in his 70s, of medium build, with grey hair, and wearing a brown top. He left the area with the dog following the incident.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened or who may have information about the dog’s owner.
