Students across Redditch, Alcester and Studley celebrate a bumper set of GCSE results
AFTER a hard fought three years, Redditch GCSE students arrive at schools across the region to collect their results and find out if all their hard work has paid off.
Pupils will be hoping they’ve got the grades they need to progress onto sixth-form, college or other training and employment.
GCSE results are graded from level 9 to 1 rather than the previous alphabetical grading of A to E.

Some students have achieved particularly strong results, including Niamh Hedley who achieved seven Grade 9s in biology, chemistry, history, maths, physics, religious studies and Spanish, as well as Grade 8s in English language and English literature.
Oscar Blundall also did well, achieving Grade 9s in chemistry, maths and physics, as well as Grade 8s in geography and religious studies.
Darcey Bullock earned four Grade 9s in biology, English language, English literature and geography, in addition to a Grade 8 in History.
Mat Rash, Principal at Arrow Vale High School, said: “We are incredibly proud of our students and delighted to celebrate their GCSE results today.
“This has been a fantastic year group to work with, and they thoroughly deserve the strong outcomes they have achieved. Our students have shown real commitment, resilience and determination.
“Importantly, they have listened to and worked closely with their teachers and parents, demonstrating what can be achieved when students, families and staff work together with a shared ambition.”

As well as recognising academic outcomes, the school is also celebrating the many ways students have contributed to academy life and the wider community.
Principal Marie McNamara shared her pride in the students’ achievements. She said “It has been a privilege to watch this group of young people develop into confident and capable young adults.
“Today is a chance to celebrate not only their academic success but also the relationships they have built, the challenges they have overcome and the positive impact they have had on our school community.”
