New-look medals revealed for this year’s Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run

THOSE wanting to sign up to the Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run are being urged to book their places now before a price increase, writes Tom Harris.

The event is taking place at Wythall Park on June 7 and the standard rate tickets are only available up until midnight on Monday, May 4.

A brand new medal has been made for the event, with ambassadors Sonia Tudor and Mat Wright being the first to see the design when they offiicially unveiled it last week.

Every runner taking part will still receive a medal to act as a memorable keepsake for their achievement of running 5k or 10k.

The run is for everyone – whether regular runners or those wanting a jog in the sun with the community.

The Wythall and Hollywood Run will raise funds for the charity, Acorns and brings people together, it is important that money is raised for them due to their exceptional work in helping specially needed children having a good life while in a hospice.

Lisa McNally, Director of Public Health in Worcestershire, said: “The team behind the Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run put so much care into making the event even better every year.

“This new metal medal will really take pride of place in people’s medal collection.

“I also want to say a heartfelt thank you to our Run Ambassadors.

“They give their time, energy and enthusiasm so generously, and what they do is vital to the success of community events like this.”

The Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run is organised by Wythall Community Association, Events of the North and supported by Worcestershire County Council’s Public Health Team.
