MP joins Kerala Cultural Association Redditch to celebrate Vishu
REDDITCH MP Chris Bloore joined members of the Kerala Cultural Association (KCA) Redditch for a vibrant Vishu and Easter celebration at Trinity High School.
The event brought together families and residents from across the local community for a day of music, singing, dancing and shared food, celebrating both the New Year festival of Vishu and the Easter season.
It highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Redditch’s Malayali community, many of whom work in health and social care across the town and surrounding areas.
The celebration, organised by KCA Redditch, showcased the importance of community connection and cultural exchange, bringing people together to share traditions and strengthen local ties.
Mr Bloore said: “It was a real pleasure to join KCA Redditch for their Vishu and Easter celebration. The atmosphere was fantastic, with music, singing, dancing and a real sense of togetherness.
“Events like this are a powerful reminder of the diversity that makes Redditch and the Villages such a great place to live. The contribution of the Kerala community, including so many working in health and care, is hugely valued.
“I want to thank Binju Jacob and everyone involved for organising such a brilliant event and for the warm welcome I received.”
