Free fun for children as the circus comes to Redditch town

FAMILIES across Redditch can enjoy a month of free circus-themed entertainment in the Kingfisher Centre.

Running daily from 11am to 4pm on Walford Walk, near New Look, the free summer programme offers families a fun-filled day out with self-serve fairground games, weekly craft workshops and live entertainment.

Visitors can enjoy classic circus-inspired games including ring toss, ball in a bucket and can alley and a changing activities programme designed to keep children entertained.

The festivities began on Tuesday with the arrival of Jumbo, an incredibly lifelike elephant who brought a touch of nostalgia.

Inspired by the memorable 1986 visit of Maureen the Elephant, Jumbo helps give families the chance to create unforgettable holiday memories.

Every Wednesday, children can get creative with free circus-themed craft workshops, including Clown Hat Crafts, Animal Masks, Hot Air Balloon Crafts and Silly Bean Circus creations.

Live entertainment every Saturday boasts jugglers, balloon modelling, face painting, hula hoop performances, magicians and bubble shows.
