Community comes together to help 1st Redditch Scouts for community garden clear-up
THE COMMUNITY came together to join the 1st Redditch Scout Group to help clear up a garden in the borough.
The event, at the Scout Hut off Hadlow Close, brought together Scouts, leaders and local volunteers to tidy and improve the outdoor space used by the group and the wider community.
Redditch MP Chris Bloore, who also joined in the effort, said: “Scouting plays such an important role in helping young people build confidence, learn new skills and give back.
“This event was a brilliant example of teamwork and community spirit in action.
“I want to thank everyone who gave up their time.
“It’s efforts like this that make Redditch such a strong and proud community.”
During the visit, Mr Bloore met with young people and leaders from the group, hearing about their activities and the importance of maintaining welcoming, safe spaces for future generations.
