Cheery Trees take home second win at Alcester Window Wanderland

RESIDENTS and staff at Cherry Trees Care Home are celebrating after winning the overall prize at this year’s Alcester Window Wanderland competition.

The care home’s colourful window display, created around the theme of hope, captured the hearts of judges and visitors alike.

The vibrant design was a collaborative effort led by volunteer Lauren and activities lead Carly Marshall, with enthusiastic help from the residents themselves.

The display transformed the care home’s window into a striking piece of community artwork, filled with colour and uplifting imagery reflecting positivity, unity and optimism.

Carly said the project was a wonderful opportunity for residents to get creative and be involved in a town-wide event.

“It was such a fun project for everyone to take part in.

“The residents loved helping design and create the window and seeing the community enjoy it made it even more special.

“Creating the Window Wanderland display is always such a lovely experience for everyone involved.

“Our residents really enjoyed helping design and make the decorations and the theme of hope meant a lot to us all.

“Seeing the finished window lit up and knowing the community enjoyed it as much as we did made it incredibly special.”

Volunteer Lauren, who helped bring the design to life, added that the theme of hope felt particularly meaningful and inspiring for everyone involved.

Debbie Osborne, senior general manager, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won Alcester Window Wanderland again this year.

“It’s wonderful to see our residents, staff and volunteers come together to create something so uplifting for the community.

“I’m incredibly proud of Carly, Lauren and everyone who helped – it truly reflects the creativity and spirit we have here at Cherry Trees.”
