Car seized for holding no road tax in Redditch
OFFICERS from Headless Cross and Oakenshaw Safer Neighborhood Team have seized a vehicle in Oakenshaw today for being on the road and holding no tax.
Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) – also known as vehicle tax, car tax or road tax – must be paid on most vehicles registered in the UK.
A spokesperson for Redditch Police said: “Any motorist caught driving without it could be fined up to £2,500.
“In 2025, more than 150,000 untaxed vehicles were clamped in the UK.
“That’s why it’s important that you tax your vehicle correctly and on time.”
