BTCC – Independent victories for Power Maxed Racing at Knockhill

POWER Maxed Racing came away from the latest round of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) with two independent victories at Knockhill in Scotland.

The Studley-based team also strengthened their position at the top of of the independent teams standings.

Both Mikey Doble and Dexter Patterson secured fourth-place finishes and independent victories.

Doble also moved from seventh to sixth in the drivers’ standings and leads the independents trophy by 36 points.

He finished eighth, fourth and 11th across the three races.

Patterson impressed on his home circuit to reclaim the lead in the Jack Sears Trophy after taking a hat-trick of victories in the competition.



The Scottish driver secured three top-10 finished after placing seventh, eighth and fourth.

Power Maxed driver Aiden Moffat topped the free practice times ahead of Patterson with Doble in fourth.

However, after making up 13 places to finish ninth in race one, Moffat had to retire on the opening lap of race two and finished down in 22nd in race three.

The returning Nick Halstead completed a historic four-car line-up for Power Maxed in Scotland as he came home 20th, 18th and 20th in the three races.

The BTCC season continues at Donington Park over the weekend of August 22 and 23.
