Alvechurch school pupils learn life-saving CPR skills The Redditch Standard
YEAR six students at Alvechurch C of E Middle School have recently learnt vital life-saving skills as part of a human body topic.
During their learning, pupils asked questions around first aid and the heart.
A spokesperson for the school said: “With lots of cardiac arrests happening in the news and sport, it felt like a great learning opportunity to merge science with first aid.”
The event was organised by Mr Pattison to raise awareness and the practical workshop was delivered by Andy Thurgood, an emergency nurse and paramedic.
He taught the students how to undertake CPR.
The spokesperson added: “We would like to pass on our thanks for Andy for delivering such an engaging session.”
