1st Matchborough Scouts at risk of closure if volunteers not found

LEADERS of 1st Matchborough Scouts are appealing for volunteers to help support their Tuesday evening Cubs group, or face the possibility of closure.

Every week the Cubs gather to earn valuable life skills, build confidence, make friends, and enjoy exciting adventures.

From outdoor activities and games to challenges and new experiences, no two weeks are the same.

A spokesperson from the group said: “You don’t need any previous Scouting experience – just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to help young people develop and thrive. Whether you can spare a little time each week or would like to get more involved, we’d love to hear from you.

“Volunteering is a fantastic way to give back to the local community, learn new skills, and be part of a friendly and supportive team.”
