FOOTBALL – Redditch United and Alvechurch discover league allocation for 2026/27 season

BOTH Redditch United and Alvechurch will play in the Southern League Premier Central again next season after the FA released the National League System (NLS) club allocations for steps one to six.

The Reds finished seventh in the Southern League Premier Central last season, outside of the play-off places on goal difference.

Church finished 14th in the Southern League Premier Central last term, 11 points clear of the relegation zone.

Both clubs remain in the division next season and can look forward to local derby games against both Bromsgrove Sporting and Worcester City.

Anstey Nomads, Hitchin Town, Leighton Town and Racing Club Warwick all achieved promotion into the division.

Leamington and Peterborough Sports have dropped into the division after both clubs suffered relegation last season.

And Rushall Olmpic have moved laterally into the division from the Northern Premier League Premier.

The other teams in the Southern League Premier Central next season are: Banbury United, Bishop’s Stortford, Bury Town, Halesowen Town, Kettering Town, Leiston, Needham Market, Real Bedford, Stamford, Stourbridge and Stratford Town.

All leagues are subject to FA Council ratification.
