MARTIAL ARTS – FSK Redditch Shihan and students win medals at ICO Welsh Open

REDDITCH-based Furi Sutairu Karate Federation (FSK) took a small squad of martial artists to the ICO World Championships in Swansea.

And the Redditch club celebrated a medal-laden event under the guidance of ICO England president Shihan Dave Treadwell.

Athletes competed in various categories including kata, weapons, team events and sparring.

Students Belle Wainwright, Aaron Carolan, Belle Richards and River Richards, who all train at the Redditch club, returned home with a bundle of gold, silver and bronze medals.

All four martial artists also form part of Treadwell’s ICO England team which head to the World Championships in France later this year.
