FOOTBALL – South Redditch Eagles under-15s lift league title

SOUTH Redditch Eagles under-15s are celebrating after winning the league title in the Central Warwickshire Youth Football League.

The team lifted their first major trophy after clinching the Division Seven title.

The Eagles beat other Redditch teams along with sides from the Solihull and North Birmingham Area to win the league.

A six-game winning run helped the Eagles to top spot as a 3-2 victory against Holly Lane United ensured the Redditch club lifted the title.

Goals from Leonard Gould, Sam Seager and Arthur Felton earned the title for the South Redditch club on the last day of the season at Holly Lane.

Redditch finished two points clear of Sutton Coldfield Town and finished the season with 11 wins from 16 matches losing just three games all campaign.
