RUGBY UNION – Redditch end season with defeat at Tenbury

REDDITCH RFC’s season ended with a 40-14 defeat away at Tenbury on the final day of the campaign.

The Kingfishers made seven changes from the side put out the previous week.

Tenbury crossed twice in the first half only for Redditch to respond as Jack Mertens dotted down two tries for the visitors.

The teams went into the break at 14-apiece after Will Spires converted both of Redditch’s tries.

However, injuries piled up for Redditch in the second half as Tenbury ran in five unanswered tries to take the game away from the visitors.
