This weekend’s FREE Alvechurch Picnic in the Park has fairytale theme

THE FREE Alvechurch Picnic in the Park takes place from 10am tomorrow (Sunday, May 24).

The annual event will be held on The Meadows, Meadow Lane, and feature a variety of activities for all ages.

At 10am, registration begins for the dog show with the contest getting under way at 10.30am.

There will be the official opening of the picnic at midday and then there will be stalls and activities, along with an afternoon of live entertainment.

At 12.05pm, the Alvechurch Community Choir will take centre stage and there will be Live Music by Laura at 12.40pm.

At 1pm, the Amy Greaves School of Dance will showcase its skills and there will be a Creative Carousel at 1.45pm.

Young talent by Music Academy Midlands will perform at 2.15pm and that will be followed by the fancy dress competition – which this year has a ‘fairytale’ theme – at 3pm.

At 3.05pm there will be some fairytale favourites from DJ Panto and the Got 2 Sing Choir will perform at 3.35pm.

The raffle will be drawn at 4pm and then the entertainment for the evening will start at Alvechurch Cricket Club at 4.30pm.
